Dated Aizawl, the 1st April, 2016
WHEREAS, 1(one) seat of MDC Constituency under Chakma Autonomous District Council becomes vacant due to the death of 1(one) sitting member and By-Election has to be held to fill the casual vacancy within six months from the date of Notification of the vacancy by the District Council Affairs Department vide No. H.14011/3/2010-DCA (C), dt. 6.1.2016; and
WHEREAS, the Governor has, by Notification under sub- rule (1) of Rule 144 of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2002 as amended vide No.H. 14011/3/2010-DCA (C), dt.2.3.2016, been pleased to call upon 10- Mandirasora under Chakma Autonomous District Council to elect a member to fill the casual vacancy in accordance with the Rules ibid and orders made by the State Election Commission there-under; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (1) of Rule 151 read with sub-rule(5) of Rule 7 & sub-rule (1) of Rule 158 of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2002 as amended, the State Election Commission hereby appoints the following dates and times for By- Election to Chakma Autonomous District Council, 2016:-.
