WHEREAS, in pursuance of the Notification No. B.14015/1/2016-SEC/LC issued by the State Election Commission on 15th November, 2016 under Rule 3 & Rule 37 of the Mizoram Municipalities (Election to Local Councils) Rules, 2015 read with Rule 16 of the Mizoram Municipalities (Ward Committee and Local Council) Rules, 2010, the By-Election to Local Council (Chawlhhmun Local Council) under State Election Commission was held to fill-up casual vacancy of one Member for the Local Council of Chawlhhmun (General) under Aizawl Municipal Corporation on 12.12.2016; and

 

WHEREAS, in pursuance of Rule 75 of The Mizoram Municipalities (Election to Local Councils) Rules, 2015, the result of the election in respect of Chawlhhmun Local Council in the said By-Election has been declared by the Returning Officer concerned.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, the State Election Commission hereby notifies the name of the member elected in respect of the said Local Council, along with his party affiliation as shown below :
