Dated Aizawl, the 6th September, 2023

Whereas, the State Election Commission has decided that, at the time of poll during the By-Elections to 22-Siaha East-I MDC Constituency within Mara Autonomous District Council, electors for the purpose of establishing their identity before the Presiding Officer or the Polling Officer of a polling station, before casting their votes, should produce the Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) issued in terms of the provisions under the Representation of the People Act, 1951 when such electors of the constituency concerned or the polling station in question have been supplied with the Identity Cards, with photographs attached thereto; and

Whereas, it appears that all electors of the polling stations to which elections will be held and polls will be taken on 26.09.2023, may not have been provided with the said Identity Cards; and
