No.B.12024/1/2025-SEC/VC/MADC/23              :  In exercise of the powers vested under sub-rule (1) of Rule 3 of the Mara Autonomous District Council (Election to Village Councils) Rules, 2014, the State Election Commission, Mizoram hereby orders that, in so far as the Mara Autonomous District Council (Election to Village Councils) Rules, 2014 is silent, vague or unclear on any matter in connection with By- Election to Village Councils, 2025, the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961 and standing instructions and guidelines of the Election Commission of India, as much as it relates to the By-Election to Village Councils, 2025 shall be adopted in principle and spirit.
