                        In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 37 (i) of the Mizoram Municipalities Act, 2007 as amended, the State Election Commission, Mizoram has decided to use Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) for the conduct of By-Election to Ward No. VI within Aizawl Municipal Corporation, 2024. The Rules – “Voting by Electronic Voting Machines” framed under Chapter – VI-A, from 53A to 53ZD of the Mizoram Municipalities (Election of Councillors) Rules, 2007 as amended, shall apply for use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the conduct of By-Election to Ward No. VI under Aizawl Municipality.
