Dated Aizawl, the 30th October, 2015
WHEREAS, the Governor has, by Notification under sub-para (1) & (6A) of Para 2 of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution read with sub- rule (1) & (2) of Rule 8 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2014 as amended vide No. H.14011/1/2015- DCA (L), dt. 2nd July, 2015, been pleased to call upon every constituency in the Lai Autonomous District to elect a member to the Lai Autonomous District Council in accordance with the said Rules and orders made by the State Election Commission there-under;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the power conferred under sub-rule (1) of Rule 151 read with sub-rule (4) of Rule 142 & sub-rule (1) of Rule 158 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2014, as amended, the State Election Commission hereby appoints the following dates and times with respect to the said election in each of the Constituencies:-

3 | Last date for Filing Nominations | 5.11.2015 (Thursday) Upto 3:00 PM |
4 | Scrutiny of Nominations | 6th, 7th & 9th Nov, 2015 (Friday, Saturday & Monday) Upto 12:00 Noon |
5 | Last date for withdrawal of Candidatures | 9.11.2015 (Monday) 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM |
6 | Date and time for allotment of symbols & submission of list of Contesting Candidates to the Commission | 10.11.2015 (Tuesday) 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon |
7 | Date of Poll | 26.11.2015 (Thursday) (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM) |
8 | Date of Re-poll, if necessary | 27.11.2015 (Friday) (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM) |
