Dated Aizawl, the _________, 2015.
In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule 1 of Rule 3 and sub-rule 1 of Rule 37 of the Mizoram Municipalities (Election to Local Councils) Rules, 2015, the State Election Commissioner, Mizoram hereby calls upon all the Local Council Constituencies within Aizawl Municipality to elect members for the Local Councils on 30.4.2015 (Thursday). Accordingly, the State Election Commission, in consultation with the State Government, hereby publishes the Schedule for General Elections to constitute 83 Local Councils within Aizawl Municipality as follows:-
1. | Last date for filing nominations (Rule 37 (2) (a)) | 13.4.2015 (Monday) |
2. | Scrutiny of nomination (Rule 37 (2) (b)) | 14.4.2015 (Tuesday) 11:00 am – 3:00 pm |
3. | Last Date for withdrawal of Notifications (Rule 37 (2) (c)) | 16.4.2015 (Thursday) Up-to 12:00 noon |
4. | Date & Time for allotment of symbols to Candidates & display of list of Candidate (Rule 46 (2)) | 16.4.2015 (Thursday) (12:00 noon onwards) |
5. | Date of Poll (Rule 37(d)) | 30.4.2015 (Thursday) (7:00 am – 5:00 pm) |
6. | Date of re-poll if any | 1.5. 2015 (Friday) |
7. | Counting of Votes (Counting of Votes shall commence as soon as poll is over) | 30.4.2015 (Thursday) |
8. | Date on which Election shall be completed | 8.5.2015 (Friday) |
