Dated Aizawl, the 2nd March, 2023

 

                        In exercise of the power conferred under Section 37 (i) of the Mizoram Municipalities Act, 2007 as amended, the State Election Commission, Mizoram, in consultation with the State Government of Mizoram, has decided to use Electronic Voting Machine for the conduct of 1st General Election to Lunglei Municipal Council, 2023. The Rules – “Voting by Electronic Voting Machines” framed under Chapter – VI-A, from 53A to 53ZD of the Mizoram Municipalities (Election of Councillors) Rules, 2007 as amended, shall apply for use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the conduct of election to Lunglei Municipality.
