Dated Aizawl, the 7th November, 2025

            

WHEREAS, the Governor, by Notification under sub-rule (2) of Rule 142 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2010 as amended, has been pleased to call upon every Constituency under the Lai Autonomous District Council to elect a Member of the Lai Autonomous District Council in accordance with the said Rules and orders made by the State Election Commission there-under; 

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (1) of Rule 151 read with sub-rule (4) of Rule 142 & sub-rule (1) of Rule 158 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2010 as amended, the State Election Commission hereby appoints the following dates and times with respect to the said election in each of the Constituencies:-

Announcement of Election by State Election Commission

7th November, 2025 (Friday)

2.

Issue of Notice of Election by Returning Officers

7th November, 2025 (Friday)

3.

Last Date for Filing Nominations

14th November, 2025 (Friday)

(Upto 3:00 PM)

4.

Scrutiny of Nominations & Allotment of Symbol

14th November, 2025 (Friday)

(3:00 PM Onwards)

5.

Last Date for Withdrawal of Candidature

17th November, 2025 (Monday)

Upto 12:00 Noon

6.

Notice of List of Contesting Candidates

17th November, 2025 (Monday)

(immediately after withdrawal period is over)

7.

Date of Poll

3rd December, 2025 (Wednesday)

(7:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

8.

Date of Re-Poll, if necessary

4th December, 2025 (Thursday)

(7:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

9.

Counting of Votes

9th December, 2025 (Tuesday)

(8:00 AM Onwards till completion)

10.

Date by which election process shall be completed

12th December, 2025 (Friday)

 

                        The Model Code of Conduct is, hereby, enforced henceforth till the election process is completed.
