Subject :       Maintenance of Law & Order.

Sir,

                        In inviting the subject cited above, I am directed to bring to your kind notice that General Elections to Village Councils and Local Councils is scheduled to be held on 30^th April, 2015 and Press Note to this effect was issued on 1^st April, 2015 (Copy Enclosed). The Commission is required to monitor the Law & Order situation closely in order to ensure peaceful, free and fair polls for General Elections to Village Councils and Local Councils, 2015. In this connection, you are requested to take appropriate measures with regard to Law & Order and deployment of forces as may be required.

                   Advance preventive measures to maintain Law & Order and to create atmosphere conducive for the conduct of free and fair elections may be ensured.

                   You may please bear in mind the Financial constraint of the State Government that there is no fund for meeting the expenditure on TA/DA etc. of Police Personnels deployed on election duty. Deployment of Police Personnels may be done as on routine duties for maintenance of law and order within their respective area.
