In continuation of this Commission’s Order of even number, Dated:26.08.2020 wherein General Elections had been deferred in respect of 24 Local Councils in the interest of public health and to prevent and contain the spread of the pandemic COVID-19 within Aizawl Municipality, and in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (1) of Rule 3 and Rule 37 of the Mizoram Municipalities (Election to Local Councils) Rules, 2015 read with Rule 16 of the Mizoram Municipalities (Ward Committee and Local Councils) Rules, 2010, as amended, the State Election Commission, Mizoram hereby calls upon 17 (seventeen) Local Council Constituencies listed below, to elect members of their Local Councils on 4^th September, 2020 (Friday):
