Dated Aizawl, the 14th October, 2020

 

 

WHEREAS,  under sub-rule (1) of Rule 142 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business, etc) (Amendment) Rules, 2014, the term of the existing Lai Autonomous District Council is due to 04.12.2020; and

 

 

WHEREAS, under sub-rule (1) (b) of Rule 147 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business, etc) (Amendment) Rules, 2014, a Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls is required to be conducted for updating electoral rolls of the District Council preceding any election to the Council constituencies/constituency by such time frame as may be decided and notified by the State Election Commission;

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (4) of Rule 142 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business, etc) (Amendment) Rules, 2014, the State Election Commission, Mizoram hereby orders that Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to 1st January, 2020 as the qualifying/cut-off date shall be carried out as per the schedule indicated below:-
